Kinda feeling like the one with the arrow through the head. Feel like i’m being pulled in all directions these days in everything… Need to try focus on one thing at a time, instead of a 1000 at once.

Going through a pile of negs and scans, you pick up things which you remember shooting, but subconciously realising how some should be displayed together. Eventually this collection will be part of a “bigger picture” of things, but for now, i’m going to post it here to show, but also for a reminder and reference to look back on.

The pictures

Issey Miyake and a student fashion show. Just 3 things I want to share from 3 of the pictures below that I like.

  • Picture 2, the girl in the foreground, didn’t realise at the time, but in the picture her hair is parted in such a way that there is confusion whether she is facing them or the camera (with hair in her face).
  • Picture 3, the alignment and odd sense of scale.
  • Picture 4, the man on the right just happenly aligned with the person behind, and their mouths have just merged.

I’m currently liking photographs where you need to look a little more in detail and you find other elements which create a strange sense of suprise, or unease.

balloons

These are just a few from an all night art festival in roppongi a few weeks back. The balloons were part of a parade around roppongi. Interesting and easy to approach people for photographs when everyone is in a happy party like mood.
