Admittingly I have a shirt like this as well :) Never really go and seek shirts to shoot like these, they just happen to pass by. The camera culture in tokyo extends far and wide.

When I was compiling the pics for this blog post, it just occurred to me that it looks like a spin-off to John’s Tokyo Camera Style. :)

Finally my long overdued revamped gallery site is up. I am my own worse client. I enjoy designing for myself, but at the same time i hate it. I’m too picky about things that people probably won’t notice.
So what’s new?

Photography - There are 2 series (sunny and square2) which are on-going work in progress projects. I’ll keep adding to these whenever i have new material.

illustration - pop-up’s - i’ve never really shown this to anyone, but i am enjoying not staring at a computer, and cutting /glueing and scribbling to create some sort of “contraption”. Kind of reminds me of Primary school art classes. At the moment, I only know a few folds and mechanics, and I looked into what the “masters” in this craft are doing out there, and geez it is mindblowing.

It has been a while since I last shot colour. I think it was the scanning that turned me off. But these were shot a few months back just before rainy season started. Colour definately looks nicer at night, and the rain and wet surfaces accentuate that. None of these turned out how i imagined they would, but nonetheless i think they give a certain mood sometimes that I find harder to achieve with black and white.
