cassettes
Sunday, March 22nd, 2009It could be the influence of shooting and developing my own 35mm film for photography that i’ve found this other type of film to be of interest. This site, tapedeck.org has an amazing collection and display of cassette tapes from the past few decades. Packaging for cassette tapes here.

Saturday, March 21st, 2009John (left) has an interesting on-going project. http://tokyocamerastyle.com/.
Tim (right) and his new(old) canon-P. Whilst the camera is about 50yrs old, the design is one that won’t go out of fashion.
I’ve kept the framing on the scan, as incidently it happened to be the first time i’ve shot portra vc, and the first frame on this roll. On a technical note, developed with the naniwa color kit n. push processed to 800.

Friday, March 13th, 2009I’ve done 3 rolls so far with the Naniwa kit. This one is from the 3rd roll - Centura 400. About the 3rd of the price of portra, and it doesnt have its tones, but nevertheless still nice. Pushed it one stop to 800.

Naniwa Round 2
Thursday, March 12th, 2009Natura and Naniwa
Sunday, March 8th, 2009Had the urge to shoot some colour recently, and I learned from a recent new friend that developing colour it wasn’t as hard as seemed. So i decided to try for myself with a naniwa color kit n. Whilst the process is a lot shorter than black and white film, it has to be at higher temperatures, which was proving a little more difficult for me to keep constant.
There are a few streaks on a few of them, not too sure why, maybe not enough agitation or fixing. These are few from one roll of Natura 1600.
After a couple of months in only black and white, shooting colour was such a joy. I didn’t have to think or imagine things only in only light and darks. I definately prefer night in colour. Looking forward to the weather getting warmer, so at night I can at least feel my fingers and the leica doesnt feel like an iceblock.
