Visited the famous fishmarkets a few weeks back. The first time i’ve ever seen the place. I was a little suprised how busy it actually was. The black and white are shot on film neopan1600, colour with the digital.

I shot these the other day. Wanted to compare around one year from below. I’m glad she’s still smiling when i point the camera at her. It will be a yearly project.
I forgot I didnt have the 6×6 setting in the camera, so I was that is why they are overlapping. Scan is directly from the roll, no ps effects to overlay. Something to experiment with possibly. I’m liking the holga more and more recently. Shot on neopan 400, self developed with super prodol developer.
Some scans from an old roll i shot last year.

A recent film bug must have been in the water, and it hit me hard last week. I haven’t been touching the FM2 or canonet in the past month, mainly due to the current economic situation, so i was kind of eager to play with those two cameras again. I love the wide angle lens on the FM2.
So i started researching into self developing black and white. After a few helpful mails from friends, and these helpful sites here and here , and this youtube video, and getting all the necessary stuff, it was time to start developing. The process is new to me, and I would compare it cooking for the first time.. Things like the order, measurements, temperature and timing. But after all that washing, and opening up the tank to find negatives, it was definately satisfying. Now i don’t have to wait a few days each time it takes when I drop it off at the lab.
It’s been more than 2 months since i’ve posted anything on this blog. Maybe it is my energy has been diverted into concentrating on a photography exhibition. Together with 3 other friends unfoldingdrama, GOM, persimmonous.jp, we decided to show our work in a unique location With Zakka+ . A first time for me to exhibit any of my photographs, it was a fun informative experience, and interestingly helped provide me with some insight into which direction I want take my photography.
A big thank you to all who helped provide support for this event.
